Salt Goals - Too Little or Too Much?

I'm wondering what's a reasonable amount of salt to aim for. The general guideline seems to be to keep it under 6 grams per day, but I'm having trouble finding a clear minimum target. It feels like it'd be hard to consume too little salt, but is that really the case? What about someone who cooks all their meals without adding salt - could they be getting down to 1 gram or less a day and still be okay? Is that even enough?
