Challenges are for everyone who wants to improve and defeat their bad habits.

How do I participate in a challenge?
Simply choose one, and vote for the "I want to participate" option in the poll. After that, try your best to stick to it! You can also come back to the challenge's topic at anytime to discuss your struggles, feelings or wins with the other participants.

After a challenge ends, a results thread is posted where you can tell in a poll if you succeeded or not. This second topic gives room for a nice debriefing and allows to see some fun statistics when comparing who started vs who finished, so try not to forget to vote in it! Consistent winners may earn badges and special abilities.

If you fail a challenge, you are obviously still allowed to come talk in the topic! In fact, it's usually much more useful to explain what made you fail. Bad habits are often rooted in poor coping strategies and discussing your triggers and setbacks is infinitely more insightful for others and for yourself than wallowing alone in shame.

Who can start challenges?
Everyone. Just try to make sure your post is well-titled and contains a pledge option in the poll.

What's a well-titled post?
A good title should contain the challenge itself (duh), and its duration. For example:
"NoFap June 2025" or "90 Days No Sugar Challenge".

After the challenge you made is over, you should make a result post. Ex:
"[RESULTS] NoFap June 2025" with a poll so that everyone who succeeded can mark themselves.

What's a pledge?
The pledge system is for those who are fed up and want extra motivation. By pledging, you're publicly committing to succeed, or to donate x amount to the forum if you fail.

To make a pledge, choose the "I PLEDGE" option in the challenge poll. Then comment how much you're putting on the line. A pledge is serious business; to maintain accountability and preserve the integrity of the system, not following through after a failure will result in a ban! Honorable pledgers will be rewarded.

You can also make personal pledges unrelated to active challenges. To do that, simply create a topic about it here. Examples:

[PLEDGE] I will donate 20$ if I play League of Legends this month

[PLEDGE] My 6 month 100$ no porn journey

Why do this? It keeps you accountable, and everyone loves an underdog. So if you do pledge, you should try to document your journey and to report your highs and lows. Your logs might inspire others!

I failed a pledge...
Sorry to hear that. To follow through with your pledge, come here and adjust the amount to match your promised donation.

Alright, now where do I start?
If you're on NoMind, you're probably working on yourself. So why not join or start a challenge related to that?
